CREST POINT FARMS
It's all about the taste
Taste the love!
Taste the love!
“In 2009, as I gazed over our land, I knew something was very wrong. It had been fallowed for decades and was full of weeds, thistles, useless grasses, and little else. I saw that thousands of farms all over the U.S. were going bankrupt every year. That’s when I knew something had to change. I had to learn how to repair the land by looking deeper, under the surface, into the soil. No more chemical-induced soil. No more fallow ground. My challenge was, and still is, to build a rich, alive foundation for native, deep rooted, perennial grasses to grow. How do I regenerate the soil and become a carbon farmer? How can this improve the land we use, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the food we eat? We invite you to Join us in our quest, loving our family of animals, loving our farm, and loving our community. There is always a lot to learn. This continues to be challenging, fun and something from which we can all benefit.” – Bob Curlee
Loving
the family,
the farms,
the community
IRISH DEXTER CATTLE
We love our family of Irish Dexters. They are a critical component for making regenerative agriculture and carbon farming work.
NEW ZEALAND KUNEKUNE PIGS
Our piggies are family - fun, curious, noisy, and graze right out on pasture with the Irish Dexters.
LOVING The FARMS
Crest Point Farms includes Crest Point Orchards, Weaver Ranch, Linda Grace’s Place Farm, R&R Ranch, Haines Ranch, and Crest Point Woods. All these farms and ranches are USDA certified organic through California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
CREST POINT ORGANIC FARMS & RANCHES
You are invited on a journey in a new direction. One led by science
and blazed by farmers and ranchers, like Crest Point Farms, across the globe. When neighbors learned Crest Point Farms was undergoing USDA Organic certification, they explored how regenerative agriculture was being implemented, learned about the expected benefits, became familiar with the Irish Dexter breed, and decided to become part of the farm’s Organic System Plan.
LOVING The COMUNITY
Crest Point Farms is situated in Grass Valley, California. Grass Valley is an historic gold mining town, home to the Empire Gold Mine that was active during the 1849 gold rush and continued operations until 1965. A tourist destination, the town still retains much of its historical flair and historical contribution to the wealth and success of San Francisco and California.
